NPBA Meeting
This Monday at our March meeting, we will have a panel of three talking and answering questions about the all-important 2010 Census. Patti Bodkins of Drake Printing, Margie Pena of the Neighborhood Centers, Assoc. and Yvonne Moore, a partnership specialist in our area will be our experts. They each have a different perspective on the Census and reasons why we all need to be counted. This will be a brown bag meeting so bring your lunch if you would like to and join us for this very important meeting

The Octette Bridge Club
A delightful, sentimental comedy about American life in the 30's and 40's. On alternate Friday evenings, eight sisters meet to play bridge, gossip and generally entertain themselves. They are a group portrait right out of Norman Rockwell Americana! The first act takes place in 1934. The second act takes place 10 years later. This is an insightful look at an American family in an era far more innocent and naive than ours has become.

Seabrook Lucky Trail Marathon
The Seabrook Lucky Trail Marathon is held on the beautiful Seabrook nature trails surrounded by a diverse habitat of both fresh and salt marsh, the coastline of the Galveston Bay, wetlands, and wildlife and bird sanctuaries. The course consists of crushed granite surface (no concrete). In addition to participating in a single race, runners can enter one of the challenges by finishing two races. Proceeds will go to The Bridge over Troubled Waters, a non-profit organization that helps women and children.

Every March, thousands of people in the Houston/Galveston area gather to clean tons of trash from our waterways. The mission of Trash Bash is: To promote environmental stewardship of our watershed through public education by utilizing hands-on educational tools and by developing partnerships between environmental, governmental, and private organizations.
