Pasadena City Council
Pasadena has a Mayor and City Council structure which includes 8 council members and 1 mayor. The Police Department has over 200 commissioned officers and the Fire Department has over 200 active and semi-active volunteer firefighters.

The Pasadena City Council meets every Tuesday. The first meeting of the month begins at 7:30 p.m. and each council meeting thereafter in the month alternate between evening and morning meetings. The morning meetings start at 10:00 a.m. Council Meetings are conducted at City Hall, 1211 Southmore. Citizens addressing council need to sign in between 7:00-7:25pm. For details, call 713-477-1511. City Heavy Garbage Pickup
Monday & Thursday Garbage Pickup days will have Heavy Garbage Pickup on 1st and 3rd Wednesdays.
Tuesday & Friday Garbage Pickup days will have Heavy Garbage Pickup on 2nd and 4th Wednesdays.
Residents can use Residential Refuse dump at Greenbelt Landfill (858 Old Genoa-Red Bluff), once a month with their current water bill. (Call 713-475-7884 for limiting requirements.)
Garage Sale Permits
Garage sale permits are processed by the City's Permit department (901 Curtis, 1st floor). The cost is $10, and remains valid for five consecutive days. Your permitted days may only be rescheduled due to inclement weather, and you are permitted to hold only one garage sale every six months.
