City of Pasadena Information

Pasadena has a Mayor and City Council structure which includes 8 council members and 1 mayor. The Police Department has over 200 commissioned officers and the Fire Department has over 200 active and semi-active volunteer firefighters.

The Pasadena City Council meets every Tuesday. The first meeting of the month begins at 7:30 p.m. and each council meeting thereafter in the month alternate between evening and morning meetings. The morning meetings start at 10:00 a.m. Council Meetings are conducted at City Hall, 1211 Southmore. Citizens addressing council need to sign in between 7:00-7:25pm. For details, call 713-477-1511. Permit assistance is offered between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., but no permits will be issued after 4:30 p.m. each day. Additional permit information is available at 713-475-5575.
